heater issues
« on: October 16, 2012, 11:49:44 PM »
The heater in my 97 TJ only works on the high setting, I replaced the resistor and it didn't change anything.  Do you think its the switch in the dash?  I checked the fuse and its good.  The fuse for this is located behind the glove box right?  Just to make sure i wasn't checking a fuse for something else.

If it's not the resister then it's probably the switch.

yeah I was kinda on the fence about installing it. It had a 2 inch body lift on it when I bought it and didn't have one on.  I have since lowered it to a 1 inch body lift.  I didn't know if i was doing harm by not putting the new bracket on.  My steering wheel isn't centered but it never has been since I bought it.  I was figuring it was due to the steering shaft angle. May need a alinement too..

when you lift it you need to adjust the drag-link to get it back in the center, probably what happened. drop pitman arm corrects the issue slightly but you still need adjustment. Unrelated to the body lift but related to the suspension lift (just to clarify what i meant by "when you lift it).

that shouldn't affect your steering wheel centering, you need to adjust it or maybe an alignment.
