Topic: Wiper/Wash/turnsignal broke steering column won't come apart

1991 yj no tilt no intermitent.
The rod inside the turn signal wiper arm broke.  So I am trying to get the wiper control switch out of the column so I can fix it.  
I followed all of the haynes manual removed steering wheel, turnsignal/hazard parts, column bracing,dash, lock cylinder, and the 4 bolts but the section will not come apart or off the column to get the switch out.

Please help before I just trash the steering column housing.

How many extra parts do you end up with though?  :lol1:

Spent the last hour + but cant find a reference to the fsm in the faq.  Found some that have the fsm.
Guess it is the crow bat and dremel.

Found the problem there are 3 screws in the backside holding the halves together (found them by breaking some of the plastic section) They are not found in the instructions from  haynes or the fsm.  Oh well I can fixit with some pvc.

None, all the parts end up smashed and leave me with nothing to work with. This solves the problem because then I don't have anything left to fix.
