Does anybody know if tb spacers and bigger tbs make you loose mpg or gain?

Very little or no difference at all.

You'd be better off keeping your speed down.  Under 60mph is best.  If you can keep it under 55mph, it's even better.  If you can't though, try drafting.  You don't need to be bumper to bumper.  For a big rig or van you can be as far back as 10 car lengths and still reap the benefits.  This can make a huge difference. 16-18 can turn into 20-23 if you're not in a hurry.

Thanks for the tips, I will definitely try those things.  Drafting is a huge help, I used to do that in my bronco whenever possible.

Wow, where are you at?    Ours is still under $3 a gallon (reg unleaded) , filled up my car, wifes car and the kids truck on Saturday.  About 50 gallons at $2.99.

Ah, maybe because of that refinary that blew up in TX.  We stay pretty insulated from that stuff in MN since we have a couple refinaries in state.

Last week gas prices shot up $0.30-0.45 all over the place because of the speculation and uncertainty of the economy.  Then oil prices closes at $102 the other day...

Right now we are at $3.20 for regular unleaded  I am probably going to get some 33X10.50s and some thinner rims or run the stock steelies again. Right now i am geared to 4.88 with some 33X12.50 radial MTZ's and i think 15x10 alloy rims. I have a set of 32X11.50's AT/KO's that i just need to get rims for. Do you think the 4.88's are too high a gearing to gain MPGs by running the 32's on a 15x8 inch alloy or steel rim?

We hit $3.12 yesterday.  Costs me another $1.80 per tank.

Might want to think about the payback of making wheel/tire/gear changes to save a couple gallons of gas ;)
