Takes me a good day worth of work to get an article complete.  That's if I get all the pictures gathered and edited ahead of time.  The two D44 articles were done as I was doing research for the winch.

I don't use my winch much so the cable lookds pretty good.  When and if it needs replacing I'm going to go with rope.  Amsteel seems to be the cheapest out of teh premade stuff.  Although I've heard you can make a rope for a little less but then you get more rope so it comes out as a better deal. Technora is some fancy stuff.  It's said to be stronger then kevlar.  The down side to making yout own is having to make an abrasion sleeve yourself though.

I do like the OD green Dyneema rope.

im pretty sure im going to go for the warn xd9500i i think that # is right and i guess it does make sense to  use up the cable that comes with it before swapping

Do you have another job besides doing all this research ?  just wondering because it seems like alot to do if your doing it on the side..

I currently own a M8000 that I bought years ago for $475 new.  It's got the older motor but gets the job done just fine.

I'm a contract worker right now.  On and off, I've been gathering stuff to add to my resume for a automotive media job.  So hopefully it will help turn something up.  Took a trip to Fourwheeler Magazine but I guess I wasn't impressive enough since the head, Jon Thompson and the VP, John Stewart both left soon after.
