Topic: water leak

Well, I fixed my leak- sorta.  I quit wearing shoes when it rains, and now wear rubber knee boots.  Problem solved...




Sorry, just had to be a smart---.  It may be that the windshield gasket is not sealing in some areas allowing water to run in the frame and out the end.  If so, this should be corrected as the frame will rust thru.  Or the cowl seal may be working open again- dig out as much as you can, clean, and reseal with silicon sealant.

BTW- My ol' heap still pees a bunch on me about three/four times a year- right on my feet!  It just won't give me any respect!

darn it you just had to remind me of my jeep's rusty dash panel.. (way wore than that but brings back the memory) ... have fun putting that all back together

thanks for all the input,, after several attempts of running water over my jeep a seam at a time, i still couldnt find the leak. so i duct tape all around my cowl seal and windsheild frame hinges. no in completely dry.. next step need to order a seal and install.. thanks guys

That's exactly what I ended up doing since it it was going to rain again.  I just bought it from Q-tech.  It's a bit of a PITA to get the windshield frame back in the same position since the seal is new and doesn't squish easily.  I ended up having to readjust my hardtop as well as my doors to get it to all fit again.
