I don't think you'll be happy switching things around. After you do that, the passenger side will sag. I don't want to tell a guy to go spend money, but check out JCWhitney. They have pairs of springs from a little over $100 to a little under $350. Free shipping and a 10% discount right now. Those prices are probably cheaper than having the springs re-arched. (Yea, I'm showing my age) It's also cheaper than Q-Tech or 4WD.
Now, myself. When I'm wrenching on my '98 TJ, if I take off a sunbaked 110,000 mile, 18 year old part, it's probably not going back on the machine. It's already off, so it's probably getting upgraded.
