I loved that episode. laughing the entire time.  the hill they broke the Axel in the bronco on we drove up with a stock rental liberty 4 years ago. they definitely have no idea how to off road. but the trailers didn't help at all im sure.. didn't know anyone was stupid enough to try to heat a unopened can of food still. glad they were smart enough to wire the cj back to life.. I was surprised the cj7 beat the blazer in the drag race. questionable winch mounting on the cj7 also...

funny that they had the Toyota as the rescue rig when talking american trucks - should have been an H1 just to keep it in the theme.

Adam Ferrara is known for breaking every car he drives, so it wasn't anything new when he broke that 8.8".  Those Blazers are dogs stock.  They're really heavy and I think they're stilled carb'ed but have a bunch of emissions crap on them.  I think he should have gone older with a 1st or 2nd gen Blazer.

Typically the support vehicles are whatever the guy they hire runs.  Although in the US challenges, they don't have a 'shame' vehicle like they do on the BBC version.

Yeah. Instead of shaming them, they just leave them to die.

The whole trailer thing was a bit of a letdown though.  They really didn't do much with them, other then wreck them.

I think Tanner would have been better off with a SJ.  Rutledge could have won with any of them though.

oooo forgot about that one. That was good as well, so that makes it 2 good episodes for US topgear. BTW, Topgear Classic did a similar jungle based torture test with CLarkson behind the wheel of an early model Range Rover, James had a suzuki and Richard had a classic FJ (if i remember correctly). THAT was a great episode.

It would be nice to see them do some respectful and equal tests for the showdowns. The truck episode was the worst as far as "let’s do something random and call my truck toughest."

The challenges are never about doing a legit comparison.
