I'm guessing they're Ford Axles from the wheels but you can change those easily.

That's definately a Dana 44/Ford 9" combo.  Had to adjust the contrast and brightness on my monitor, and then I could see it as bright as day!  Can't really tell if the front is a HP or LP housing though, but seems to be HP.  From the thrid picture it looks like he shaved a little off the 9".  The front axle also has disc brakes on it, if that tells you anything.

I'm wondering what they're from also.  Looks like they're full width, too.  The front's a D44, didn't bother to play around with contract for the rear.  I'd really like to get a front D44 though.  Then I'll be able to regear to something low.

Sure looks nice with those wheels and axles.

the rear looks HP also, in which case it uses the same ring gears as the 8.8, so you could only go to 4.88.  Personally that axle setup sounds almost bulletproof with the 2.5L.

Those are pretty wide axles considering the wheels have a lot of backspacing.

I'll be going with a FSJ D44 front and Isuzu D44 rear with 5.38, as 4.88 just isn't low enough for the 4banger with anything larger than a 32" or 33" tire.  Nice thing about those two axles are the same 6x5.5" lug pattern and 4wheel discs.

That's a sweet relatively simple YJ doing some hellacious crawlin.
