ZJ rear axle has the same thing - got the whole kit from junkyard for $50 (had to take them off myself, you need to pull the axle shafts and they are c-clip), bought new rubicon rotors (5x4.5 bolt pattern), pads and shoes for another $75 or so and $5 worth of spray paint - works like a charm.

with both you'll need some a/m e-brake cables, i think i got mine from Teraflex and were something like $100 total for the driver and passenger

Terafles is a cheap way to get discs.  I've thought about doing it on my D44 for a while.  Although if you want to do the salvage yard route, it will probably be cheaper.  Luckily, if you have a D35, you can do ZJ brakes easily.

They're all the same.  There's no magic year.

$130 will get you an 8.8 with disk brakes 
in some circles, the 8.8 is believed to be the very axle the aliens used on their vehicles when they visited the Mayans. It's depicted in cave drawings and stuff. Just saying.

Checked site and did not see anything.  Also is there a better year to look for in the ZJ.

click to zoom the first thumbnail picture, look at the e-brake lever, then look at yours, the teraflex (and ZJ) cable has an eye type end, the YJ has a ball end at the end of the cable, you can fab something to make it work (like cut yours and weld it to the new lever), I opted for the proper cables.
also, check the install instructions http://www.quadratec.com/Assets/Installation/30018.pdf - they mention the need for brake cable kit for TJ at #26 (nothing for YJ but the ends are the same as far as i know).

not sure what part of my statement you are asking about:
$130 8.8: pretty much any junkyard with ford explorers from 95-99
Mayan cave drawings depicting 8.8s: South American caves and most history books :)
