I'd love to see a FC hit production!

Not gonna happen.  Especially with front impact and offset ratings being crucial.  It's one of the main reason you don't see cabovers anymore.

Maybe they could be made for Mexico.  There are some new small FC trucks on the roads here, not sure of the brand but not 4x4
'95 YJ, 33 x 12.5 mud tires, RE 4.5 ED lift, Atlas 4 speed, rear D44, ARBs front and rear, 4.56 gears, 8000# winch

The MC looks cool, but I bet getting in it is a pain. :crap:  I guess you put your foot in the middle of the wheel?  Or, swing around form the rocker rail?  Still, I'd  :driving: it.

Step on the rocker then step onto the tire and swing in.  It's easy   Probably no worse then getting into a Jeep with 35's though.

Pretty sweet!  :hump: Just wish they would pull the trigger on these projects and get them built!

The FC would never pass frontal and offset crash tests.  Although if they offered it as a kit it could work.  Too much work for the average builder though.  Basically, they would have to offer a complete body and seeing how much they charge for the pick-up kit, it wouldn't be $10-15K.

The Nukizer or whatever it's called would pass all the gubment safety stuff. Seeing those going into production would be cool. Or any pickup for that  matter.

Probably do better then the JK since it has more metal.  I really like the J12's chrome bumpers and the dog dish.

It's a dropside like the original FC and Type II VW.
