I asked if they had anything quieter than the Dynomax, and here is the response:

"The closest I can come up with by size will be an 18113. It has an 18" body and 26" overall length. The 17731 from the kit is only 18.5" overall length and a 14" body. The inlet on both is a 2.25" offset and the outlet is a 2.25" centered.
Sorry we don't have anything closer. "

When I get to the Jeep I will measure and see if it would fit.   Seems a little big to me.

That would not fit on mine would put the Muffler part way over the Differential.

I'm sure there are some out there that would fit, in my case I upgraded to 2.5'' starting with the cat, for muffler I used a Magnaflow 14226 (8''x5'' oval, center/offset 2.5''/2.5'' inlet/outlet  reversible, 14'' body, 20'' overall length) - it's a polished stainless straight thru glasspack

you could use 14225 which is the same as the one above only with 2.25''/2.25'' inlet/outlet (or slide the cat further up with 14225 to gain an inch or so if needed and the same between the cat and muffler) or the 14362 which is 17'' overall length, 4''x9'' oval and 11'' body with 2.25'' inlet/outlet  you might need to add an extension pipe between the muffler and the cat with 14362 (or maybe just use a band clamp or 2). The smaller they are the louder they are though so 14225 would be the better one.

Walker response just arrived!

"Thank you for your inquiry for Dynomax Exhaust.  We appreciate your interest in our products. I am sorry but we do not have an Quietflow muffler that will fit in the place of the 17731 Super Turbo muffler that was in the 17345 kit. The only thing I can recommend would be to return the kit under the 90 day safe and sound guarantee to the original retailer and then put on an OEM style system listed below."

I was not aware that Walker owns Dynomax....or vis-versa.

I believe I bought my Walker Quiet flow at Lee Auto parts. It was the same dimensions as the Dynomax.

I have the Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler on my 2001 TJ Wrangler.  A little louder than stock but not obnoxious at all.  It is an offset design, not a straight-through.  I am very happy with it.

i thought straight thru means no baffles (i could be wrong though), mine has an internal bend also as it's offset like the stock is but it's just a pipe with holes.

I realize this thread is a bit dated and the OP might have solved his issue by this time, but I've ran a Magnaflow XL series on my rig with a stock tailpipe config  for about 4-5 years now and am pretty happy with it. It's gotten louder as the packing has gotten older, but it has a pleasant tone and doesn't sound ricer at all. It's stainless and has 2.25" in/outs, I dig it

I believe threads never die!   Still running the same Dynomax and still not happy.   The Jeep is now at the cabin so I will have to wait till the Nov timeframe for my up-grade.  Still looking, still listening to Jeep that I come across.   So far, I'm liking the Summit link.   71 bucks is about what I paid for the entire Dynomax system.
