i like the other one you posted better
I do too.  Although I don't know about those angled rings.  They make them easier to see but I don't look at the gauges long enough for that to matter.  Having them sit flat looks cleaner.  I'm still undecided on what gauges to use as well.  Maybe go with some black face VDO.

Looks like the guy who ordered the dash I saw is selling it.  I don't get why it has the two OE switches under the speedo and 8 under all the gauges.  IIRC, you get three switches under the speedo.  Wiper, Defroster and OE fog lights.  Seeing the gauge tunnels at an angle, I don't think I like the look of  them.

Speaking of which, I need to wire up my defroster and rear wiper to switches.  I'm thinking I'll just use on/off switches and not use a timer for the defroster.  I know CHevy doesn't have a timer.  At least the one in the Blazer I sometimes drive doesn't have one.  It does have an idiot light though.

You could always make a custom center section with fiber glass and move the dials around to put the stereo on top...  You could probably eliminate the 4WD indicator to make some room there as well, and cluster the other 3 gauges closer together?  IIRC, there are only 4 gauges (4WD, Temp, Oil and Fuel) in the stock YJ (the panel above has 5).
'94 YJ 2.5L with 4" RE lift, Superwinch EPi9.0, FoMoCo e-Fan, SD30 and SD35 w/ARB-5.13, 165A alt., 33" BFG KM2 on 15" AR wheels, Sony sound system, Pavement Ends Hardtop, Hydroboost

The problem with having a stereo in a console is I can't see it.  I want the screen for GPS Nav not for matching movies.  For it to be useful, I need to be able to see it while driving.  Also I have a MasterRac center console (before Tuffy) that houses my CB and 2M radios.

With the dash panel above I could fit a double DIN in there if I cut out a support below the gauges but I'm not sure what else that would effect.  The dash panel would need some type of mount added to then support the whole receiver.

There are 5 gauges in the YJ.  For a 87-90 it's Temp, Oil, Clock, Fuel, Battery.  For 1991-1995 it's 4WD, Temp, Oil, Fuel, Battery.
