That sucks that a few people have no respect for anyone or anything. Many times it ruins things for everyone else. You can sometimes call them out if you see it, and many times they will respond, but there is always a few that become even more ignorant. I hope to make it up there on day, hopefully it will be there
Like I said, these are the folks who are repsonsible for land/trail shutdowns everywhere. Unfortunately, the Northeast isn't overly offroad friendly like the South or other regions in the US, so much of the wheeling that happens is clandestine, essentially illegal and without structure or instruction. You get kids who are in the mindset to trespass and then it evolves from there with trash being left about, illegal activities on the land, arson etc. These same idiots eventually make it to parks like Rausch Creek and carry with them the same manners they have exhibited and honed back home and the result is what is mentioned in the text from Rausch Creek. I wish my state were more off road friendly, that way folks could truly get together and enjoy it in a normal fashion rather than enjoy it in a way that pretty much starts on the illegal level. There are many trails in the Northeast, and for the most part, land owners don't care about folks wheeling until the trash starts accumulating and other activities start occuring, then they put up fences and shut them down. The local trail my friends and I use is FANTASTIC, plenty of fun for all level rigs; rocks, mud, hill climbs etc. The owners don't care about the wheeling and have just asked us not to wheel there during hunting season...but more and more jerks have found it and have left trash behind and abused it. I wouldn't be surprised if I go to wheel there one day and find it blocked off.
