Saw this on JeepsUnlimited forum...always liked the ARB bumber solution, but expensive...and says it will only handle a 35" tire?

very expensive, i like the Smittybilt XRC (for less than 1/2 price of the ARB), it's adjustable for different tire size up to 37'' http://www.quadratec.com/products/12057_23X2_PG.htm

but they don't have any add-on accessories for it,

something like the Garvin G2 with jerry cans and rack would be nice

The quality is good on the ARB but they are so damn expensive.  IIRC, they are also hollow on the backside, so it's not boxed.  Not that it matters.

You could save a few hundred and get a Hanson bumper.  They're made in CA.

They are pretty tough and you can get a 'Rubicon Rack' attachment if you need the room.

It would be a lot cheaper to have some friends weld one together though.  I probably should have gotten the one I was supposed to buy.  It was $350 and that was only for the metal.

My front bumper is a Hanson..  pretty well made.  ARB are expensive because they do a ton of research with them, including crash tests to make sure they are compatible with air bags...  Not that it matters in my case, as YJ do not have them anyway!

And yet they make a rear bumper/carrier, their second attempt, that is still limited to 35" tires.
