Tera 2Lo worth it?

Just curious to see who has one and what your thought on it are.  I always thought was nice feature.  Not to mention having a true Neutral for flat towing.

When I was running a 231 I had a 2lo. I really enjoyed it.
When I did the whole Klune/D20 I made sure I twin sticked it so I could have 2lo again. I run in 2lo as a rule of thumb. If I see that I am going to need 4WD it is so simple to do, don't need to stop to engage the front or disengage. Pretty sure the 231 is the same as long as your going real slow.
I would say that 90% of the Dusy was done in 2lo. Maybe 85% but the lions share for sure.

A little off subject but, you only used the D18 in 2Lo for Dusy?

Adding 2Lo to my 231 is a bit of a slippery slope but if I keep the 231, it might be worth it.  I did see a 231 with a RE SYE and a Tera 4:1 for $800 and it was very tempting.

Is this the Teralow kit? I was looking to install that last Jan when my t-case grenaded, but was advised against it as I was informed it would overheat easily and doesn't have great reliability reviews.

The Tera 2Lo is different then the TeraLow 4to1.  We're talking about the Tera 2lo.

D20 in high range 2WD then put it into 4WD high when the front is needed. Klune was always in Low range. I did not need to put the D20 into low range. So I did it just running the 4:1.

I would NOT run a Tera 231 4:1 kit. Seen way to many failures in my group!

 The 2lo kit is a good kit. Not sure besides Novak as to who else offers a 2lo for the 231.

2lo is great to have.  The 2.5 will barely climb some slopes that are otherwise easy dirt roads.  Sometimes it involves getting up onto the highway again and it would be more of a hassle to put it in 4lo just for that.

Novak makes a 2Lo kit?  TeraFlex was the one and only that I've ever seen.

I like my 2lo kit, I use it often on really rough trails where slow speed is needed but 4wd isn't.  Well worth it if the t-case is apart anyway.

Looks like I was wrong. I thought their shifter offered a 2lo. But it does not, but it works with the 2lo kits.

Well worth every penny,I use mine all the time. Where I Offroad there are a lot of technical trails that don't require 4WD but you must steer back and fourth a lot.

 With 2low I can maneuver quickly with the rear axle locked up and the front free spinning. When I need every thing locked up, it's just a bump forward on the stick.
