Body bushing kit with hardware?
« on: October 21, 2014, 03:09:32 PM »
I'm looking for a body bushing kit for my YJ that comes with hardware.  All of the ones that I've seen that are 0" lift don't come with any hardware.  Anyone just sell the hardware or am I gonna have to buy them separately?  The sleeves would be the only problem area.  Would be nice to get a body bushing kit with hardware though.

I'm also looking for a 0" lift kit with the sleeves included.  Hopefully someone knows.

I haven't been able to find one.  Since I'm going form 1" to 0" I need al new bolts.  My OEM's were eaten up really bad which was a good enough reason to replace them.  I saw Crown sells OEM rubber mounts with those 'mushroom' sleeves but I don't think my Jeep ever had them.  I could probably salvage my sleeves but if I can I'd like to replace them.  I had to cut a sleeve to rebuild the front mount since it was really rusted bad.  I don't get why they make all new hardware for 1" but have you reuse all of it for 0".  I could see it being cheaper but for the majoriety of the people who are going to bother to swap the mounts, their hardware is in bad shape.

This is the kit.  http://www.amazon.com/Crown-Automotive-52002723K-Body-Mounting/dp/B008VPVF82/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414186718&sr=8-1&keywords=crown+body+mounts+52002723K

No washers or bolts but that's not the harder to get part.  Though you can make sleeves front tube steel and cut down sections to match.

Looks like you could also get 6 of these: http://www.crownautomotive.net/product/YJ-Body-Parts/52001961.html - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cwa-52001961

And 4 of these: http://www.crownautomotive.net/product/YJ-Body-Parts/52002661.html - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cwa-52002661

That's $49.70 from Summit Racing.  Then you have $40.97 for the 10 - washers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/omx-1221703.  That's not including the grill support or the bushings nore the 10 bolts for the body.

Things start to get really expensive.

Best way to do it is pull the bolts you need and go to a place Like Fastenal or like I have here Eugene Fastener.  A place dedicated to fasteners.  They will be much cheaper.

Here is a place I use daily to look up parts.

I ended up changing my mind about removing the body lift.  It would be too much of a PITA.  I'd then have to remove my 1" MM lift as well.  Also the additional clearance would give me more room for any drivetrain swaps that may not be planned.
