FITMENT ??
« on: November 26, 2018, 04:13:05 PM »
Gentlemen, I think I have a simple 'fitment' question. Will bucket seats from an '04 TJ fit a '98 TJ?
Thanks.  hunter

IIRC, that's a yes.  There isn't much to seats though.  The body hasn't changed so if there are any changes it's in the seat mount.  But I don't believe there were any changes since that's added cost and Jeep is cheap with making mid year modifications.

The seat bottom on teh TJ seat is thicker than a YJ, the YJ has a slightly
taller mounting system, the mount from the TJ doesn't fit the YJ ,
you have to put the TJ seats on the YJ mounts.

Supposedly one of the better seat swaps is a 2001 Pontiac sunfire,
they are better quality and a better ride by internet accounts. You-tube has some film... :D
The sunfire seat bolts straight on to a YJ slide..
