YJ seat belt replacement
« on: May 02, 2024, 04:35:34 PM »
Haven't posted in quite a while. I hope everybody is doing great.

Have been having trouble with the front seat belts in the YJ.  They sometimes get stuck when being pulled out and often don't retract fully. They are 29 years old after all.

Does anybody know of a good replacement so that they are as much like stock as possible?   In particular, are there any that will keep the part that is bolted to the floor raised next to seat like the stock setup?

Thanks

There is a company that will rebuild OE belts.  I forget the name of the company though.  Shouldn't be hard to find though.

Found these, in case anybody else is looking for some:

https://www.seatbeltsplus.com/product/Q9295P.html

Looks like Quadratec also sells them:

You might try https://www.google.com/search?q=seat+belt+restoration+service

The only problem with those is that they're not exactly the same. Although if they replace the latch then they might also be different.  From what I understand rebuilding them is a lot cheaper.

They are now in the YJ.  They install the same as stock, but they don't have the wires for the buzzer.  I don't miss it.
