4.0 intake on a 2.5
« on: May 02, 2006, 07:27:45 AM »
I have been kinda worried that my rockit parts intake may not be filtering enough and will lead to engine damage.  The 4.0 one appears to be less restrictive than the 2.5 and also takes up less space.  Will it work on my engine?

Do you mean an intake, as in the intake manifold, or are you asking if a 4.0 airbox system will fit?

If it's Rock-It, I'm thinking it's the tube.

I believe Turbo City sells stock 4.0L air tubes along with their Rockit tube.  I'd probably consider swapping tubes.  The Resonator box on the 2.5L TJ's is mainly for noise, I believe.

Yea, I mean the air box and tube.  I have a single tube and cone filter now but have been thinking about switching back to factory but going with the 4.0 type instead of the 2.5
