2.4L UPGRADES
« on: July 13, 2006, 09:03:59 PM »
I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler with a 2.4L engine in it.  I am trying to find out what I can do to get some more power out of this engine.  I don't have the money for a swap out with a bigger engine.  I do know about getting a cold air intake for it but I am having a hard time finding an exhaust system for the Jeep.  Will that have to be a custom build or is there a kit out there?  Also I am wondering if anybody has the Avenger Supercharger install on their Jeep with the 2.4L in it?  If you can please help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you.

I don't know if the 2.4L engine is the same as the neon 2.4L engine?  I need to find out from Chrysler.

I am in the process of testing the 2.5L supercharger now.

Target price for a base (4 lb) unit will be under $2000.00 - stock only.

There will be up grades (8 lb) + $1500.00 -- Injectors & controller

Inter cooler upgrade (10 lb) + $1500.00 - water to air, a/c cooled.

Under $2000 sounds good.  I posted there.

Yeah, but you'll still be paying for it either way.
