Hi, my names Ethan. Im just a good ol' country boy from Mont Belvieu, Tx, which is about 40 miles east of Houston. I've been muddin and trail ridin since before i can remember. Im 19 and just bought my first Jeep, a 1998 TJ 2.5L with 101,000 miles on it and its dead stock, the perfect starting point. It will be paid off in 5 months. I bought it off a used car lot for $5100. Once I get it paid off i plan on doin a 4 inch lift with a 1.25 inch body lift and throw 4.88's in the diffs and some 35's, bumpers, and winch. Never had a jeep but always wanted one and now that i got one im the happiest dude in Texas. :beers:

Hey all.  I Just recently joined a couple weeks ago.  I am from Fairmont,WV and just bought my second wrangler.  A 06 tj 5 speed bone stock except for 30x9.5 15 tires. It has 30k.  I had a 98 Sahara previously.

I want to get it paid for before I do any major mods.

I Look forward to being a member of the board and gaining knowledge about my rig.

Thanks to all in advance.

Hi, I just picked up a 1998 TJ for 2K. It is generally in good shape and I've been wanting a Jeep project. Most rusted out Cj's were this price so I jumped on it. Bought it with some unknown engine problems. It has A/C, Power steering and a radio-couldn't go wrong!  I've owned and currently own another Jeep and visit several forums on a regular basis. I've been very impressed with this forum. I hope to have my engine rebuilt and hope to find some info to maybe replace some stock items towards a goal of more hp.

Hey all! I've been lurking (read learning) on this forum for about a year now. My name is Doug and I bought my 95 YJ in April 09 and LOVE it! My motley crew hails from north-central missouri. Been married for almost 16 years to the best woman (she was my NCOIC in the Marine Corps) in the world and we have two boys (11 and 7). We all really dig the Jeep and we've made a couple trips to Hannibal Rocks OFP. My YJ has the 2.5l with a manual trans. Superlift 4", Boomerang shackles, and 33's on American Racing alloys. With the great help from the FAQ section, I'm running with a 4.0 throttle body, Accel coil and wires, 19lb injectors, rad fan from a Taurus and a 136 amp alternator. I have custom bumpers (rear with swing out) and rock sliders. I put a smittybilt 8000lb winch up front. We ditched the carpet and lined the tub. It's a great Jeep and it's awesome family fun :thumb: !!

I'll try anything twice...just to make sure I don't like it!
95 YJ 2.5/ax5/np231. 4" superlift, 33" MT's, 4.0tb, 136amp alt, 19lb injectors, electric fan, smittybilt 8k winch, custom bumpers and rock sliders, rhino'd tub, header and ceramic coated exhaust.
67 M416 trailer painted to match.
96 XJ 4.0/ax15 My wife's Jeep and my new project.
