Thanks,  I think it was stock for about a week after I bought it.
I shopped around for a build vehicle for almost 2 1/2 months.  After
a week, I started and haven't stopped.  This is the 4th Jeep I have
owned so it's not my first build.  I hope i can contribute and help
when I can.

John

Hello guys, I'm Herman living in Belgium and after 3 very productive years of building on my jeep I'm happy suprised to see there are so many 4banger lovers out there

I own a YJ 2.5 '94 now 3 years, still very happy with the machine and used every day on/off road.
modifications so far:
-4" rubicon express lift
-31" muds
-a pair of realy good sport seats
-home made warn bumper
-home made tire carier on the back
-some extra lights, etc...

finding this forum a couple of days ago I was very suprised there are so many people believing in this great 'small' engine. Hope to learn some things more here and who knows maybe sharing my so far knowledge about the jeep.

pictures from my ride will come soon since I have none of them standing on the web.

Herman

Yet another newbie to the world of 4Banger Jeepdom.....
Made the mistake of buying an '04 liberty thinking that that'd qualify as a Jeep fan, but was unpleasantly amused by the lack of Jeepness I felt......
At any rate, I just bought a '94 YJ with a 2.5 and 5 spd....... THIS IS GREAT!!! I GET A TOY AND A DAILY DRIVER in one fell swoop!!!! Just don't tell the wife about the "TOY" aspect....right?

So where do I start? I read through a bunch of posts here and found reference to a power chip for the 2.5.....as being used to driving a Hemi and the 335 hp it lovingly gives me when I stomp it, MORE POWER is up my alley, I'd like to hear some input as to whether these chip mods actually work....

ANY input would be helpful

Thanks for having me, 4Banger!!!!

Hello, new TJ 2.4L owner... 5th jeep, 3rd TJ... so far so good and love the little 4 cylinder.  I live in Northern CA and use my Jeep for surf runs and ski trips... just bought the Jeep 3 months ago.

Bright Silver metalic, I have added a Bestop Modular rack to carry the surfboards, fog lights, add-a-trunk, seat covers (dogs) and few other things..
30,000 miles, 6 SPD manual

Problems so far: throwout bearing, changed saprk plugs but still have alittle miss at 4,000 RPMS.. changing the wires tomorrow...any suggestions?

Thanks

Okay, I recently found this forum and have been lurking.
My best bud and I both run '92 2.5 YJ's.
The general consensus seems to be that anything is better than the 2.5. I actually like mine.
My rig isn't all that built, but I've got 30/35 with lockers, posi-lok, Super 35 kit, AX15, SYE, 3" lift, and 31's.
It does all right. My biggest hurdles have been fixing the stupid crap the PO did!

Hey all, thought i'd drop a quick line to introduce myself.  Big, bald white guy from Pittsburgh, PA.  On my 1st jeep (95 yj with the prerequisite 2.5) but had a couple sammy's along with a vast assortment of other cars.  Found this site through JF, & i'm on pgh-offroad & hrja along with a 300c forum too.  Pushin mid-30s and still employed through all this craziness, hope the new year's kinder & gentler to everyone than the last one was (or at least uses some lube this time...)

Been lurking a little and finally signed up. I am on my first wrangler, a 1991, with nothing fancy. I previously had a 4.0 cherokee with a small lift and a flock of various Chevy trucks.  The only mods I have done are a LED taplight from WalMart zip tied to the roll bar for a dome light and a license plate screwed to the floor to cover the big rust hole by the gas pedal.  There is tons of great info on here and I am still digging through old threads.
