New here but not a newbie.  I was on one of Jeff's older boards. I have  a 00 TJ running 33's on a 4" lift. My Jeep took a backseat to my Harley for quite a few years and ho it's time to put some love back it the old girl!

Greetings from Lindenhurst NY, currently have a 91 yj 2.5, 5 speed. Samson JR. have big plans for him. has a 4 inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift. have been doing plenty of mods like 4.0 TB with bored intake to match, re manufactured 5.0 19lb injectors, all new ignition, and a tone more all over the jeep. I love my 4 banger, it performs very well for what it is, thought I'd join here

Got some updates on the Jeep.  It's been awhile since I have posted, work and the jeep have took all my time.  I just as of two days ago did the Rugged Ridge budget boost 2" lift.  I said I wasn't going to lift it, but I didn't like the way the 31x10.5x15's looked all stuffed.  I don't know if you guys look on Amazon much, but I got the kit for a steal off their Amazon Warehouse deals.  Anyhow much has been done to the Jeep over the past year, I will post pictures if I can.  Highlights are Body armor front bumper with Habor Freight badlands winch (Used).  KC Daylighter fog lights on top bumper, KC Driving lights on front of bumper. KC Long range on windhield brackets.  Electric fan install, 4.0 TB upgrade, neoprene seat covers front and back. Rear spot lights.  Good driving to all of you.

Thanks Jeffy. All signed up and ready to go from Arkansas. This is my second Jeep. First was an 87 with 4.2. Kept it about 9 years and sold it like an idiot. After a year, I bought this one. I think I like the 4 cyl better than the old 6. More pep and definitely better mileage. Looking forward to reading and hopefully contributing here.

Hi guys! I was on here YEARS ago and recently got back into the Jeep world. (Actually still was always answering questions from friends)

Got a 01 2.5 auto just a few months back for, and im serious, 800 bucks. Yep I stole it. Already put on a new top two inch lift rear tow bumper tires and better seats. Did the 4.0 throttle body and a long tube header. Still only have about 1400 in her.

Glad to be back fellas....and ladies.

Im dasbulliwagen, in central North Carolina. Im second owner of a 1987 Jeep Comanche Sportruck 2.5. When I got it from the original owner it had been sitting for 4 years. I heard about if for sale from my friend who knew I was looking, who happens to be good friends with the OO. He was selling everything off and moving cross country. He was asking $250. I went and looked at it without the owner first, expecting it to not run. It was cover heavily in tree sap and had what I at first thought was the 4.0, 2wd. I decided I was interested so we met with the owner, who unlocked it for me, hooked up the battery and fired it up!I realized then it was a 2.5... no big deal, it will be better on gas, and I dont really need a ton of power anyways. It ran like crap and didnt want to idle, but I was able to drive it home. I didnt argue about the price. A running rust free truck is always worth $250. I cleaned it tuned it, and put bottles and bottles of fuel system cleaner through it which helped, but it still had a stumble. I finally decided to put a new O2 sensor in it, and it has run great ever since!. Ive since converted it to 4wd, 4:10 axles, added AC, added P/S, clock, cig lighter, original style radio, XJ Wagoneer front end, power windows and locks, custom fit an XJ chrome rear bumper, added an electric fan in place of engine fan, a cold air intake, high flow cat, and flowmaster 50 series muffler. In the works is a set of take off 2013 JK wheels and tires, and WJ lower control arms. I LOVE my MJ and its 2.5. I hope this place can be a good resource. Im a longtime member of www.comancheclub.com and can be seen there under the same username.

I forgot to add a pic.
this is how it looks now, but soon I'm ditching the 31s and putting  a set of 235/75R/15 on.  I don't off road much and the the 31s are all but shot.
235s w/ rims were given to me, so they'll do for a while.

This is not my 1st jeep TJ, nor is it my first 4 banger (with this one, I've had 3 4bangers).  I've had  I6s over the years (TJ & CJ).
But I see nothing wrong with a 4 cyl.  It gets me where I need to go.

I bought this Jeep, because...  well, I Love Jeeps!

I've got some plans for it, but nothing over the top.
Only option it came with was hard doors.  No AC, No Cruise, No sound bar, front tow hooks, etc.

I'll add a sound bar in time, partly for the dome light and also for additional sound.
I'm on the search for a hard top too...

The drivers front fender needs replaced, been attacked by the rust monster.  Don't see any other rust on the rest of the Jeep.   I've got a buddy who's going to replace the fender and paint the fender for me next week.  so, after that...  it'll be lookin pretty good.

There are some bushings that need to be replaced out back. Beyond that, she's solid and drives great.
It's nice to be back in the JEEP world again, after 2 years out.  Doubt that'll ever happen again.
