checkin' in here from vancouver b.c. canada. ive had my '95 yj for a few years now (just clicked over to 200,00 km) (about 120,00 miles) so far it had recieved a 4.5 " rubicon express extreme duty list , 13.5 x 15 toyo open country mud terrains w/ mickey thompson classic lock wheels , 4.88 gears and auburn ected lockers. i installed a racing bucket and removable steering wheel for easy access as well as a cb and gps inside for navigating. cold air intake , flex-a-lite fan ,flowmaster. current ongoing projects include rebuilding and swapping in a dana 300 with 4:1 gears and flip kit and ax-15 for more strength. as well im looking at doing a rear disc brake conversion really soon and putting on a winch. glad i found this little haven and happy to be here.

We're from Colfax, WI.  This is our second year of wheeling.   We're running a '95 YJ 2.5L/5spd with a 4.5" Skyjacker kit on 33x12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws.  Needless to say with these meats and lift the 2.5L needs all the help it can get.   I've checked this forum out in the past and like the advise.  So I thought I might have something to add now that we've been running a little while.

Going to be my first dual purpose as I have moved to the city and now have to drive my toys.  Have had a couple of toys before, Chevy Suburban, and a moded 1982 chev van (4x4, posi trac with high rise top). Look forward to being a member.  Cheers

Hello All,
Just picked up my new '90 YJ with a '95 2.4L and AX15 from ebay last weekend, and I'm already in love.  It's all stock except the swap, but I'll be checking in here to see what we can do about that.  First up will be tightening up the front-end, and then I'll move onto the intake and exhaust for some performance.  I'm also thinking about buuilding a custom soundbar and adding some insulation and carpet to the hard top.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I'm taking it up to VT this weekend to see how it does where the pavement ends.  I'm in Northern Westchester County, NY, and now I'm looking for trails...  Anyone around me know of some good ones?

P.S. These are the most tempting BBS emoticons I have ever had the power to resist!

Hello!

My name is Thomas and  i'm from Chile. I´m 22 years old. Since I was a little kid I ALWAYS wanted to have a Wrangler, and when i turned 18 (legal driving age here in Chile) I couldn´t afford a new or used TJ (base price for new Jeep Wrangler 2.5L 5 speed here in Chile is 40.000 dollars) so with my parents we bought me a Nissan D21 Pick Up. I was very happy with that truck, until 18 october 2007 when it met it´s nemesis:

After an achilles tendon repair surgery, broken ribs healed, 3 months without walking and collecting the insurance money I decided this was my time for a used 4banger Wrangler.

I have been looking for a stock 2003 - 2004 2.4 L 5 speed Wrangler for the past 2 months and haven´t had any luck  :'(

I came across this forum looking for info on the 2.4 - 2.5 liter engine and I have found it VERY VERY VERY useful, the faq section told me everything I needed to know.
Keep it up! It´s a great thing what you have here.

Cheers  :beers:

Hello,

My name is Tom and I am in Alexandria, KY (30 mins S. of Cincinnati)

I'm new to this site and I would like a little input and some opinions on a jeep I'm thinking of buying...

I'm looking at a 1997 wrangler soft top with 90K original miles, 2.5l/5spd, 2" lift , 31"mickey thompson Baja Claws, american racing wheels,  very little rust and very clean.  no serious off roading (hay fields/dirt roads)

is $4000 a fair price ??????
