hey guys- new to the site, living about an hour north of philly- on my second jeep, first one was so much fun i couldn't set the price high enough so i sold it- got the second one from an out of work guy selling his toys- harley went first then i bought this 94 yj with four really irritated squirrels now, but looking to get them motivated- bone stock and in near factory condition- so good i am having a tough time deciding whether to blow it up or leave it as is  and resell it in the spring for a nice buck- looking forward to hearing what y'all have done and how you did it- thanks to the host, they did a great job with this site

New to the site but not to the jeep world!!!I am 19 and in college my jeep was my very first ride and I couldnt ask for anything better!!!! It has come a long way since I got it with its 33's and 3 inch body lift. I have been constantly been modifying it since the day I got it and Now it has 6 1/4 inches of lift, 35's, ARB snorkel, XRC stinger, 10,000lb vortex winch, high lift jack/hood light bar, and custom chicken lights ( little orange lights that run across the top like on a diesel truck) to start with, and much more I dont feel like listing. And Im working on my Ford 9" and high pinion dana 44 combo but it might be a while till they get put in cause college nowadays is pretty pricey!!!!! looking forward to the forum!!! and oh yeah yall have the coolest smiley faces!!! :spam: :wall: :crap: :asshat: :hitit: :koolaid: :weee: :gimp: :stick:

hello fellow jeepers!

I just found this site not too long ago.  I am currently working on my 4th jeep project.  I started out with an 98 TJ.  I got into an accident and it was trashed.  Than I bought an 90' YJ with the 2.5l  and an 57' CJ5 which I sold later.  The 90' rotted out on me (I live in the rust belt).  I found an 89' YJ 2.5l for $700 and started to do a frame off on it.  Im using the drive train from my 90' and some other parts.  I por15 the frame and sprayed durabak on the body inside and out.  got the SYE installed and a bunch of other little things.  work in progress!

Hi All.  My name is Drew, and I purchased my '95 YJ Rio Grande (totally stock) July 2009.  I've finally have everything fixed that was broken and purchased a new chevy 4x4, so the YJ is no longer the primary 4x4 and can be down for a while.  I've decided to completely tear down the jeep (190k+ miles) and build it up as the small pickup I've always wanted.  That project started one week ago.  Sadly, on the first day of tear down, I injured my knee and can't hardly walk.  "Project StubbyJ" has had it's first major set back.  I'll be starting the project thread after I organize all the photos, and figure out how to post photos properly.  I'm also an extreme newbie when it comes to forums.

Hi!

I have a 97 hardtop, 31x10.5s, 1 1/4" body lift two-tone OD green and black. (I'll post a pic soon) My jeep I'd my daily driver. Feels like my favorite pair of jeans. I have a hard time even driving my wife's car one block to the grocery store. Hardly ever use the doors.

I'll post more here soon, but I have a pressing repair issue I'd better post about, first.

Much more later, love this site, Jim

Hey all!

My name is Casey, and I'm from Southwest Missouri.  I have had three Jeeps now.  My first was an all-stock 94 YJ with the 2.5L, but I didn't have it very long.  I sold it when my daughter was born.

Then I saved up to build an off-road rig out of a 93 Grand Cherokee ZJ.  It was pretty mean, with 4.5" of lift on top of 33" Super Swampers.  It had the 5.2L V8, so it didn't lack for power.  However, it didn't do well on the street.

I sold that one to help me buy my current rig, a '97 TJ.  It has the 2.5L, a 3.25" RC lift, 31" mud terrains, and some other goodies.  I'm a bit disappointed with the power, so that's why I'm here....to see if I can squeeze a bit more out of the squirrels!  I've considered several different engine swaps, but I just really can't afford that right now.  I'm happy with the off-road power, but cruising down the highway at 60 + mph is really difficult, especially with the top off in the summer time.  I can feel how the wind turbulence running topless really sucks the power out of the 4 banger.

Looking forward to learning a lot from this site!

Casey

Hi, everybody.  Danny in Galveston.  I have a 2001 TJ, 2.5 with AX5 transmission, soft top and A/C.  This is my first Jeep, and I have had it about two years now.  I found this forum a few months ago and have just been lurking.  I guess it is time for me to start participating.  Thank you

Hey all.  My nickname is Steve-o and I have a 97 2.5L Wrangler with a 2.5 inch lift and 32's.  My goal is getting a bit of power of my 4 banger and running a 5.5 Rusty's longarm lift and swap a 8.25 rear in with a Ax15.  Have a long way to go but should be fun getting there.
