@ FourbangerYJ & Jeffy,

The thingy on the hood is indeed a cold air intake.  I have a three foot extension for deep water, but I'll never use it.

The wheels are indeed crown vic 16x7s (5 on 4.5), and the rubbers are retreaded mud terrain teeth on bfg AT 235/85R16 carcasses, load class E.  Essentially 10 ply pizza cutters that dig and eat all day long.

Ah very cool.  I've been wondering if the P71's would fit for a while now.

Hi guys my name is John and 1995 YJ is our first  Jeep and hopefully not the last. I said our because I am married to my wonderful wife Michelle and we have two kids a boy and a girl. The Jeep that we got was not our first choice  but we got it for a steal, so we will keep it for a little bit. No big mods are set for this one at this time just use it for light trail rides and top down cruising. Well I hope that about covers it. 8)

Ok, we have surpassed our 100th member.  The forum gets people from all over the world but only a few are actually joining up.

So lets see some introductions from the new guy's on the forum.

Hi all,  name is Todd from Delaware. 95 4banger Yj stock high miles etc. I have had it for 4yrs and it's generally used at times of bad weather or trips cutting firewood. Gotta love that tight turning radius, it goes where there aren't any roads. like you all didn't know that.

bought 93 YJ  2.5L with 31" tires about $3,000, was I had?

somebody put a cheap lift maybe 2", oil seal out back of transfer case leaking can see the seals old position before the lift. Will it fall out?  Lugs at lower rpm and doesn't start moving till at least 2500, should I put different ring and pinions?

apologies since i'm new and don't know where to post or how

Welcome!

No, it won't fall out.  The splines on the yoke are about 6" long

  Hey All,

I've had my 98' TJ for about 4 months now. I went to an auction with a buddy because he was buying a boat and I walked away with a $2000 CDN Wrangler; what a deal! So far I've put in a high flow steering pump, Dodge Durango steering box and 32" Trail Cutters. I'm currently waiting on the RC 3.25" lift. I haven't even had this thing out on the road yet.....but when I do watch out! I welcome my new addiction........   How many other Canadians are there out on this site?

Hello,
My name is Stan and I own a 97 Wrangler. I've been reading on this  website for a quite a while now and decided to join up.
Thanks to this and everyone on here I have made the following mods to my jeep; 4.0 TB, 1 inch TB spacer, all metal radiator and electric fan. I am proud to say that i have noticed an increase in torque and a slight bump in HP. The rest of the jeep is pretty much stock withe exception of a K&N panel filter, new cat, and 30x9.5x15 inch tires. I did have my stock TB bored to 62.5mm but I think it will be a little to much air flow and i don't want to have a lean condition,opinions/?

New to the forum but I've owned 3 TJ's over the years. Current TJ is a 97 2.5L with automatic transmission.
This was my daughters but we bought her a new car this year for college so it's my toy now.
Just had the 4.88's installed but still working on a tranny code we picked up a few months back so it looks like more shop time before I can play.
I've got a Schneider cam kit, rolling rockers, 62M Throttle body & Spacer sitting in the garage waiting to go in after the transmission is sorted.
Love all the "how to" information on the forum and can't wait to try some of it out.

Hey. My name is Jonathan. I just bought my first jeep last July 2010. Its a 1998 TJ wrangler. The original engine was replaced by previous wner but replaced with a Jasper replacement. Still a 4 cylinder but runs great. The jeep is pretty stock but I'm hoping to add upgrades soon.

Thanks

I'm josh, i traded my mustang for an 01 wrangler 2.5, auto. I didn't have any intention of keeping it, (i was just trading because it was worth more than my mustang). It took me less than a day to catch the bug and now i wonder why i didn't get one sooner. Its got a 2" lift and 31's, but I'm putting 33's and new rims on friday. Shortly after will be a 3.25 RC lift and 1" body  or 4" lift and no body (haven't decided yet) and around the same time i will be regearing to 4.88s. Even though its a 4cyl i have yet to have problems or complaints with it on or off road.

My name is John- been known to get around the wheeling world just a bit.  Did a 4.3L swap in my YJ a few years and haven't had a 4 banger since then, stopped moderating for the 4 bangers list and got out of web wheeling for a couple of years.

Now I'm looking to build a 4 banger Truggy for the hell of it and figured I'd jump in here.  Already seen a couple of guys like Jeff (my pic is in his build thread doing the SOA front) and Scott (FourbangerYJ- fellow EB D20 guy).
