THE AX4 IS WHAT FORD USES IN THE TAURUS. THE CLOSE RELATIVE TO THE A X 5 TRANSMISSION. THOSE 3.0'S HAVE NICE EVERYTHING TO THEM , THE ONLY DISADVANTAGE IS THE TRANNY. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD MOTOR FOR A SWAP BUT I AIN'T MECHANICALLY LEARNED YET TO MAKE AN ASSUMPTION ON IT. BEING HOW THE JEEP MOTORS ARE BUILT FOR TORQUE AND THE FORD NOT. BUT MY TAURUS'S 1ST GEAR WOUND OUT AT 25MPH CLOSE TO RED LINE, WHILE THE NEW MONTE CARLO GOES ALL THE WAY UP TO ABOUT 35-40MPH IN 1ST AND 60MPH IN 2ND WITH THE TH TRANNY.

JUST THINKING HOW NICE THEM 3.0'S ARE AND THEY MATCH TO THE AX4 TRANNIES.

Opinions vary with the degree of the reader. Depending on our degree of usage as well. I got two of them. Lower, but they both are better than no degree at all. I coulda had one big one but ... I also coulda bought a 4.0 for the same reason....        Moooolah...
