Fatal Commander Accident

nope...it is a base model (no chrome accents and no handles on the back)...and the Limited can actually have any of the three motors...standard is usually the 4.7L....

I, of course, have the Hemi and would have been able to accelerate past that biotch before she could turn into my side.

Then again, I wonder if that guy was going 70 in a 45 and she miss-judged the left turn safety factor because he was going too fast??  That would explain why he hit the curb going sideways fast enough to be thrown into that pole.  OUCH!

And I don't know about you, but I've seen just as many idiot male drivers as female.

Yup, same here. People are people and we all do stupid things.

The Commander looks like a dish rag wrapped around that pole. Doesn't look like it put up any resistance to caving in. Maybe the roof design needs another look.

Were they really MALE or did they just look MALE?

The roof is fine....what are the chances that a car/truck gets knocked on it's side at that rate of speed and hits a strong pole in that exact spot at that exact angle??
Same thing would have happened to almost every other vehicle out there.

I just assumed (my bad  ) that the vehicle was going 35mph or under since the article had no mention of a high rate of speed. At 55 mph I could easily see something like that happening.

As yellowta mentioned, I thought those poles were supposed to break away also. I've never actually seen one get hit but I know in my area they are supposed to break away and kick out when they are struck.

I figured since it is a highway, the roof is F*%$ed and the vehicle is wrapped around the pole. Seeing as how our managers , and bosses in the U.S today are too damn strict to be human, he was probably hauling a$$ because he was late for work, sipping the hot cup o" Joe , or picking his nose, then the BIZATCH turned in front of him because she was jealous he had a better Jeep.  Maybe she was tired and up all night doing methamphetamine and did not see the car. crazy man. Watch out on the highways.
I say we all get smart and copy Dale Jr. Wear helmets, in car full roll cages, turbulence wind flaps, bring back "pit crews" at gas stations.

How did you type that? If I were as bad as you I would be with Michelle Jackson in India promoting the new album "How to look like a girl and play it off, Yankee style" or just " Unich's Paradise".

Well, I read the article and it looks like she T-boned him on the front driver side which causes him to lose control and hit the curb sideways where it rolled and hit the pole.  If that's a 35mph zone, I'd guess he was probably doing at least 40-45mph if there was no traffic.  Seems like there wasn't since the roads are still empty when the photographer got there.  The TJ still has a lot of damage so she probably wasn't stopped or slow for the turn.  I'd imagine the TJ wouldn't have held up much better since those spreader bars are thin wall.

The pole looks like it ripped through the weakest part of the roof, over the doors.  It probably would have come down if it was hit by a more solid part of the vehicle.  If the Firefighters are still there cutting after the fact then they are probably still trying to recover the driver.  Would you honestly want seats from that type of wreck?  Not much worth taking anyway.  I'd probably pass it up.

Negatory , negatory in My Opinion. I know my old music and Purple Haze talks about being in a Drug Haze, but it was induced by a Woman.
Keep your eyes on what's proper, and not the Woman. That's what the story says.

Homie don't like RAP. Busta a rhyme and it's the end of my time, but break out some Jimmy and I can give it some skinny.

Also if you notice in this pic the roof has multiple sunroofs which would weakin the roof line as well.

uuuuggghh...that has NOTHING to do with it....The ONLY thing that would have prevented that roof, or any other for that matter, from doing what it did is a serious roll cage that at least had support running down the center of the vehicle (front to back).

Logically speaking, no roof would have been better as long as the pole hit at least just behind the driver.
