The kit is bolt-on style front end clip designed for easy assembly. The clamshell hood is constructed of a triple layer of hand-laid fiberglass composite with thickness varying from 1/4" to 3/8" (in high stress areas). Fits 1987-1995 (YJ-style hoods) and can be fit to older CJ-style hoods with minor modifications. http://www.commandohoods.com/

I didn't pay anywhere near that much for my entire yj. No way would I spend that much to make it look like a hummer. Now if it made my yj hood and front clip look like a cj... I'd buy it but not for that price. I'm cheap.

It doesn't look as bad as the Landrunner kits.  Or the woody roadster kit either.  But for $4,997.0, you could buy a whole Jeep.  Doesn't look like you can fold the front windshield down anymore.  Kinda cheezy to have the fiberglass cowl over the original one, too.  The engine's gonna need that huge vent with those little slats on the front.  Except half the vent is covered.

there was also the hum j7 kit out there for awhile and i think that did poorly.  a fiberglass place near me made the panels for it. i think qtec carried it or 4wd hardaware maybe.

Personally, am thinking that designers at DC are going to have to do licensing deals with AM General to get access to their suspension design for use on future Wranglers.

As for the Hummer "look" on a Jeep - dunno, Hummer looks like they might already be trying to make some kind of SWB "Jeep" Hummer in a few years anyway.

For Jeep drivers, You'd probably be happier adopting some of the Hummer tech rather than the Hummer look.

im not big into the high tech hummer stuff. let alone the looks and how big they are.. i like the old ww2 willys jeeps that were small no nonsense low tech off road machines that can go almost any were if you try hard enough.

to be honest i think this hummer on crack body kit and the landrunner kit are both pretty cool, I mean in boulder colorado wranglers are very popular not uncommon to see like 6 at one traffic light so it would be cool to make my jeep stand out more but not for 5k
