year interchange question: 2.5L
« on: December 05, 2006, 11:33:25 AM »
I have an 87 Comanche with a fairly beat 2.5 that won't die.  I'm looking for a 2.5 that I can have rebuilt/bored out, and then do the swap.  Local guy is selling a 2.5 from a 97 TJ.  For all the accessory bolt hole/sensor locations, how much different is this from my 87 version?  Would I be able to just bolt everything from the front of my 2.5 onto this one, when it's rebuilt?

Thanks!

Tom

The TJ block shouldn't be a problem.  This is similar to this post; http://www.4bangerjp.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2293
