2.5L Crate Motors on Ebay!

:o Has anyone seen these $1,499 complete 2.5L crate motors, this looks like an interesting bolt-in option instead of a rebuild, when the time comes...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180059097460&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=180060117766&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget

The ad says they were built by a Jeep assembly plant that closed.

Opps, Looks like the 'Buy it now' price just went up to $1,650, I must have been seeing things.  They do have some good pictures of the complete long blocks with all the goodies attached.  And new AX-5 trannys.  In 10 years we will wish we snapped this factory stuff up when it is no longer available and the parts become more expensive.

It looks like these are the engines that Omix-Ada has. They bought up the surplus parts inventory from a factory that was building Cherokees overseas somewhere. At least that is what they told me anyway. They got a ton of stuff  like that.

I wonder if they were made by Bejing Jeep in China and where the parts were made.  Maybe it is not such a good deal afterall...
