Engine year

The engine block is stamped somewhere with the year that is was made isn't it?  I am doing some work to my 92 YJ and it seems that some of the wiring is jerry-rigged and some of the connectors don't match.  I am wondering if the previous owner did an engine swap.  Also does anyone know where to get an engine wiring harness and an underdash wiring harness.  I have only been able to find used stuff.  Any help would be appreciated

driver side across the side of the block.  It should be rather big.
