posting picture info:

1. right click on image you want to post and click "copy image location"
2. you see those grey squares above all the smiley faces in the lower of the two rows click the second from the left.
3.  After you clicked that gray square some image tags should appear looking like "[img]" paste the image location you copied between the tags that appeared and your doneski! its easy eh?

I found the best way to mount it was to pull the radiator and mounting frame out, attach the L brackets to the Flex-a-lite with the control block on the drivers side, line everything up flat on the ground then drill your four holes through the L brackets and radiator frame and bolt it all together. Mount the whole unit back up and run your wires. I used a hot glue gun to hold the small sensor tubing along the seem on the shroud. Don't kink this tubing or you may have problems with temperature sensor sending to the module. I set the temperature adjust at about 195-200 just above were the thermostat opens and lets the coolant flow. Let me know if you need any help. If you have the straight blade fan expect some noise when it kicks on they move a lot more air than stock!

Yes, it should rev a little quicker, there is no fan for the engine to have to push.  Any pictures?

Did you have to do some custom brackets or does all that come with?

It came with a universal bracket and brackets for a mustang.  I used the universal on one side and the mustang L-shaped brackets on the other side because the holes matched up.

Congradulations on the purchase and install. I did the Flex-a-lite 475 a couple of weeks ago along with a 3 row all metal radiator, one of the best mods I've ever done as far as engine performance goes.

That clutch fan robs that much power from the motor?

Do I see the wires to the fan ziptied to the vacuum disconnect line?  If so that's not a good idea.  As the Jeep flexes, it will pull that line and most likely, pull the vacuum lines off the diff.  Also if you have the vacuum lines start to go down before the shock mount you should have plenty of slack on the line.  Since you have track and swaybar connected you won't notice it.

no thats the wire loom that feeds the front axle. you cant see it in the picture but the wires coming off the fan dump into that flexable casing that holds the wires together and run up to the fuse box.i need to buy couple of inches of that flexable stuff to put the wire from the fan into and tie it all together.

It sure looks like that's the vacuum disconnect harness.  In fact, I can see the two vacuum lines and the 4wd light switch led in the picture.  There should be only one actual wire in there.  Like I said, before, if you take it offroad, the axle will pull at that harness + loom and either use it as a limited strap or tug the vacuum lines off.   You'd probably be better off having the harness go down closer to the engine mount.  Then use some 1/4" loom to run from the fan to the disconnect harness.  or just run the loom all the way back to the battery.
