So, i was on my way to go skydiving and . . .
« on: March 28, 2007, 12:54:50 PM »

Needless to say i couldn't jump out of a plane because i was too busy being in a wreck.

Worst day of my jeeping life.  Good news is that the insurance company is going to give me 4500 dollars and i think it will only cost around 2000.

Ha ha. I know, it's rediculous.  I hit the honda accord in the background.  I had the swaybar off and had slammed on the brakes so i guess my jeep dove far enough that the bumber went under the little honda's.  Would have been nice for me if it didn't.  Nothing broke except the fan shroud and front left turn signal.  I took the fan shroud out and put the fan belt back on.

That's bad news.  At least your ok, got nice photos for us to see and a decent insurance (overestimated) payout, right?

Bummer.  But the sway bar doesn't do anything to stop the jeep from diving, they only control body roll in a turn.

It looks to me like he was braking hard and turning right at the same time to avoid hitting the car...clipped him on the passenger rear...sway bar would have helped a little then...

If that's the case, lucky it didn't roll

That's exactly my thoughts.  I was only going 35 or so then slammed on my brakes and I don't remember turning, I think i was just trying to keep it straight in traffic but the left side on the bumber went under theirs and their bumber rode up the sway bar (i had the link tucked on top of the shock Bucket) and into my grill.  I couldn't believe the damage, i was probably going 10~15 miles an hour when i hit them.

"...I fell on my Jeep." should be the appropriate answer.
