First welcome!  Second, turn your cap-lock off. Third, yes the driveshaft will turn.

It'll turn.  I run spools in my disco front ends and never have a problem with front driveshaft vibes, if that's what you're concerned about.

Yes, I DD the jeep, well, almost daily, several days a week.  I can run 70mph no problems, can actually accelerate in 5th gear due to the 5.38's.

The front spool is invisible on the road due to locking hubs, and I can disconnect the drivers side axleshaft when the hubs are locked for tight trail turns, engage the driver's side axleshaft for true 4wd.

When I had my D30 and lincoln locker (spool), I could run highway speeds no problem, invisible in 2wd.  In 4wd I was actually in 3wd with the drivers side axleshaft pulling until I engaged the disconnect, then true 4wd.

Here are some pics of my D44 disconnect before the spool and 5.38's:

A spool replaces the differential carrier and locks both axleshafts together permanently.  A mini-spool does the same thing except it replaces the stock spider gears and reuses the oem carrier.

No i wasnt worried about vibration. Once when my cad quit working it seemed  to really drag freeway speed down in 2wd with axle still connected. Was concerned it might give the same effect without locking hubs. Just spent a bunch of money on rear arb and 488 gears for front and rear. Guess ill just leave the front open for now. Thanks for the info and a site that supports four bangers.
