I wish the Wranglers came with diesel as an option. If they did I would convert to fryer oil. I read an article this past month on how they are installed and how they work. There are plenty of restaurants in my area that would be more than happy to let me have the used oil.
my roommate drives a Mercedes he's converted... lot's of work... but very cool none the less...
A friend of mine also converted a Mercedes. The older ones along with older V.W.'s are very popular conversion wise. I've read over the instruction manual that comes with the kit and it doesn't seem very complicated. Diesel/grease is definitely the way to go as far as off road use is concerned... imo.
