According to the FSM (available on a link in the FAQ) you should disconnect the electrical connectors one at a time with the engine running to see which one does not effect how the engine runs.  You can also check the resistance of the injector, it should read 14.5 ohms.  Then place a test light across the terminals and see if it flashes with the engine cranking.  You can also remove it and clean the fuel rail and injector in case the problem is mechanical.  While out put 12v across the teminals and if is clicks it is OK.

http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php?topic=3419.0 will give you the codes,  Neal gave you the diagnostic.  You should easily tell if an injector is bad, the Jeep will run like crap.

Or get fancy and do a pressure drop test on each injector. You do this by pressuring the fuel rail then pillsing each injector with a tool that pulses the injector. compare pressure drop for each injector. should givre  you a pretty good idea if they work right

I cleared the Codes and took a  12 miles Test Drive with the New CTS. No hesition at all . Ran diagnostics and Got an all clear. So far it looks like the CTS threw the 27 in there just to freak the  :crap: out of me.

Well I drove it Wednesday and I still pulled the 27 but the 22 was gone. So I pulled my plugs too look for a rich or lean and they look nice & light brown.

I ohm'ed them and they read 15.6 but are still warm. I need to check them when they are below 45 F. to see if they drop below 14.5 Right?

The FSM says 14.5 +- 1.2ohms at 68F for the fuel injectors.

OK You Won't believe me when I tell you this. SO sit down,
Earlyer this summer I regapped my autolite Plat's too .044 because i was running hotter coil. So i pulled them to check that and color and I regapped at .040 and now it is fine.  The Parts man at the Ford/Dodge dealership told me to check the gap. He has seen what he called a Cold Spark on cold mornings have the same problem i had.

SO I plan on a early mourning Ohm check tomorrow, Warmed up and Spark plug gap both change the Code 27 to Nocode.

Just wanted to mention I got a Code #22 and #27 today and the Jeep ran like crap.  I'm not 100% sure what caused it but it's has to do with the injectors I just installed.  Probably has a plug that wasn't seated properly.  Started it back up and it ran fine.

Hmm  Sounds Like the Computer haveing a hard time with the added fuel.

I did test the Ohm's on Saturday just before sunrise and they all ohmed with .10 of each other.

I have not repeated the Problem since I regapped my sparkplugs to .040.

Nah, it had to have been a unseated plug...  seems to run fine now.  Before when I was running similar injectors It never had any issues.  One of my injector plugs has a crack where it hold the plug down so if it's not seated properly it can loosen up.  I'll have to fix that later.  it was just interesting to get the 22 and 27 codes though.  The jeep runs like doodoo.

in oilsmokes case the higher inductive voltage in the sparkplug wires due to wider gapped plugs could have caused his grieve stray voltage can cause really funny problems. If its fixed then this is one of these weird cases

I would Like to Update this Thread.  Last fall I had to remove my Injectors and go back too stock .I haven't had and error code since. Someday when i install my cam I try the injectors agian and see if the cam can handle the added Fuel on the low Rpm side. I am pretty sure I was getting to much fuel off idle with them.
