RELOCATING CRANK TRIGGER. I HAVE A 84 2.5L THAT I AM TRYING TO PUT THE MFI FROM A 91YJ ON. ALL SEEMS OK SO FAR EXCEPT THAT MY BELL HOUSING DOESN'T HAVE A HOLE FOR THE CPS. I HAVE THE FLYWHEEL OFF THE 91, BUT I WOULD RATHER RELOCATE IT TO THE FRONT PULLEY. ALL I CAN FIND IS RELOCATION KITS FOR 4.0L. ANY IDEAS???  THANKS

First turn the caps off.  :thumb:  No one makes a kit to move the CPS for a 2.5L.  You'll probably have to get the bellhousing modified to accept the CPS.  I'm not sure if you'd be able to use the new bellhousing with your old tranny.  Might be worth comparing when they come out though.  Make you can have the new bellhousing drilled to match up with your 4-speed?

I don't have the 91 bellhousing. I do have the flywheel. Guess I will have to get hold of a 91 housing and make some measurement to see if the cps will line up. Seems like it would be easier to get a 4cyl. front pully mount universal cps and hook it up. I don't know if the 91 is magnetic pickup or ??? Thanks for the caps info.
