Are the bolts holding the starter on E-12's? I need to replace my starter and don't want to have to purchase the entire set if I don't have to.

I'm going to get them/it. I'd rather only by one though as apposed to the entire set if I can help it. Christmas is coming and I don't have a lot of $$$ to spare right now. So... can anyone tell me if it's an E-12?

yes they are e 12's i just had to change mine so i'm positive, if you get up to dallas pa i got one you can borrow, let me know

Thanks for the offer dirtyjeep95. I'm going to pick one up tomorrow at Sears. I hate going the mall this time of the year but if it means I'm acquiring another tool then I'll brave the traffic and Christmas shopping crowds.

As for getting out to Dallas... The wife and I go through there Several times a week. We have a boat house out on Harvey's Lake and a lot of family in the area. We'll have to get together some time and do some wheeling.

Just use a 12point socket on them works fine, I can't remember the exact size that fits it, but thats what I use, and it saves me from buying extra tools I really don't need.

12 point didn't work for me.. i was lucky the e12 got it out after the 12 point.

Never use the right tool for the job.  All you need is a hammer, adjustable wrench and a vice grips for any job

Hey man once i saw two Filipino guys pull the head off a Honda with just a hammer, adjustable wrench and a tyre iron (they found)  in a junk yard so dont knock it

those are what i used to get my trac bars off my jeep after the correct tool for the job shattered into 4 pieces.

Man Hurt Using Shotgun to Loosen Lug Nut

SOUTHWORTH, Wash. (AP) — A man trying to loosen a stubborn lug nut blasted the wheel with a 12-gauge shotgun, injuring himself badly in both legs, sheriff's deputies said.

The 66-year-old man had been repairing a Lincoln Continental for two weeks at his home northwest of Southworth, about 10 miles southwest of Seattle, and had gotten all but one of the lug nuts off the right rear wheel by Saturday afternoon, Kitsap County Deputy Scott Wilson said.

"He's bound and determined to get that lug nut off," Wilson said.

From about arm's length, the man fired the shotgun at the wheel and was "peppered" in both legs with buckshot and debris, with some injuries as high as his chin, according to a sheriff's office report.

"Nobody else was there and he wasn't intoxicated," Wilson said.

The man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital with injuries Wilson described as severe but not life-threatening.

That article is amusing. I've done some dump things to help me get things finished sometimes but I can't imagine doing that one.
