Topic: purge solenoid circuit code ???

Hey guys,
I have been getting some check engine codes, and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on what is wrong.
The codes I'm getting are as fallows 12, 33, 52, 55,
Now I looked them up and understand them except for the code 33 (An open or shorted condition detected in the duty cycle purge solenoid circuit)
I tried to look up a purge solenoid for my 1994 YJ 2.5L but no such part even came up, so I'm not to sure as to what to fix or replace. If anyone has any experience with th is combination of codes, or knows what to do to remedy the problem please let me know.

I think code 33 is for AC.  If you don't have AC then don't worry about it.

code 33    "An open or shorted condition detected in the duty cycle purge solenoid circuit" 
In my experiences with other vehicle's the purge solenoid is to do with the fuel vapors stored in the charcoal canister being vented back into the intake, but I have not been able to even find a purge solenoid on the engine so far.

On this trouble code list 33 is a Air conditioning clutch relay.

I think the codes you are looking at are for a TJ and not a YJ.  Here are the TJ codes:

I have just been going by the codes on this site listed as 1991-1997 Jeep Wrangler.
The same link as Jeffy just posted before my post, now as far as I know those are the right error codes for my Jeep (1994 YJ 2.5L)
Unless I'm mistaking most vehicle's that don't have AC from the factory will not throw a AC code unless something has gone drastically wrong with the ECM.

33 is a common code for those Jeeps without AC so you can ignore it.

Ok the AC code aside, any ideas about about the code 52 (A rich air/fuel mixture has been indicated by an abnormally rich correction factor) The reason why I'm trying to figure this out, is that ever since these codes have set off my "Check Engine" light my mileage has dropped off in a big way.

A/F is controlled by the MAP, CrankPS, CamPS and VSS, I believe.

That is true i was just wondering if there was a sensor that is natorious for causing the rich A/F ratio, like maybe the IAT sensor i have heard from a Jeep mechanic that they go at around 150,000km. Has anyone ever heard that before

It's easy enough to remove the IAC and clean it.  I guess it couldn't hurt.

What the codes states is that the fuel system is demanded rich all the way either a sensor problem or a badly cracked exhaust manifold or bad missfire. Anything that makes the ecm think that the engine runs lean will cause this kinda situation. check oxygen sensor voltage to see if it has a trick lean condition.
