did they put a buick 4cyl in any jeeps

my jeep has a 4cyl and the parts store said it was a buick is this right thanks bigjim

Not that I've ever heard of.  What kind of jeep have you got?

Only Buick I've ever seen in a Jeep is the odd fire 6.

The 225 Dauntless V6 was a Buick engine from 1955-1971.  He could be confusing the Pontiac 151cid 'Iron Duke' I4 for a later AMC model Jeep.  They used them in CJ's till 1983.  The AMC 2.5L 150 cid was used from 1984-2004.

They also used a Buick 350 in some of the early J trucks and wagons.

Mmmm, my old 225.  Much better motor than the 231 that it replaced.

hey old jeep, i got one of those in my driveway if you want it. it has a 67 cj5 wrapped around it. bought it as a project for me and my brother. got it running rewired it and on the way to the dmv it blew a row on th radiator. he gave up. i got a grand into it, new carb lights seats switches and other stuff. if you or anybody on the page wants it 800. just saying....

A friend of mine's parents has a '69 Super Wagoneer (rare) that had the 350 in it.  It sat in the HS shop yard for years.  I would have bought it for a song and dance years ago.  Those things were cool!

Seeing as the OP is asking about a 4 cylinder I'm thinking it's the Pontiac.
