The other side of Jeeping

This thing is smoking hot.   :doggy:  It runs a Ford 9 front and rear.  Probably geared into the 5's.  There aren't any shocks on there but I think that's its ride height at it's lowest setting.  It's designed for high speed desert racing, Jeepspeed.

I'm starting to have a new appreciation for buggies, but I like the limitations of running something that is street legal as well as trail capable. :guns:

Desert racer?  Spare tire looks awfull low unless they havn't got it at ride height yet.

It's interesting, some of the Jeepspeed trucks are running D35's and 8.25's along with D44's.  Seems to be a large mix of axles.  The biggest issue is weight.  They don't have an regulation on axles other then width.

Top and doors are hideous.  Poor departure angle.  Other than that these things are cool to look at.  I'd like to wring one out a few times.

I hope they went over the I6 motor to get it to spin up easier.

I like the panel truck look on it though.

The engine is stroked.

They will be raising it off the bumpstop so the front will be 9.5" and 8" front/rear.

I'm working on reading all 21 pages of that thread. That truck is beautiful. I'm 6 pages in and I realized I really need to work on my welds. Those are some of the cleanest beads I've ever seen. Perfect pattern.
02 2.5.L automatic: 4.0L t.b., 4.0l air intake, K&N filter, Scream'n Demon coil, 8.5mm MSD Super Conductor plug wires, Stage 1 Jet Chip, 29" BFG all terrain KO's. Taurus E-fan, Hummer front bumper, Skyjacker high capacity trans pan, 48" hi-lift, Rubi susp w. 3/4" BB.
