I own a 92' YJ 2.5L (standard)...If i wear to install a 4' lift, 33.12.5 tires and 15x8 rims, would it be able to turn the wheels with enough power to wheel with, aswell as reach reasonable speed n the highway? (it is also my daily driver).

I wheel with the stock 4.10s and 33s, not the best but it works.  If you want stock performance then go will 4.88s.  On the highway with my 33" SSRs, I plugged along at about 60 mph in fouth and use 3rd on hills a lot

definatly 4.88 .. i had 31's and went to 4.56 and was happy till i put on 33" tires.. performance went back to before i put the 4.56's in  :cry:

I wheel with 4.11 and 33"s, it does okay after several engine mods.  I can easily cruise at 70 in 4th, occasionally using 5th on level ground.

It's not bad on the trails, 4L compensates a lot for the added tire height.  It'll work until you regear.

4th vote on 4.88's if your going with 33's......if you do the 4.88's i would change the d35 to 44's or the ford 8.8.....personally, stay with the dana 44......if you get r done @ your local 4x4 shop, it might cost around 400 per axle............go to the junk yard and look for any xj's or if your going for ford8.8. look for explorers or any line up of there later model vans..pull the axles and gears and take the empty axle to someone..400 dropps down to about 150 per axle....just my $0.02

other than changing yours gears and axle's, dont forgot to change your spedo gears too....basic pull and plug into your transfer case...might be a little more than that......

I ran 4.11's and 32's for 5 years and no real problems.  My Jeep wasn't as heavy as it is now though.  I'm not running 4.56's and 35's and I'm running about the same. (70mph@3000rpm)  Cruises with a headwind in 4th isn't too bad.  One of the biggest differences though, highway speeds have shot up.  With speeds up from 55 mph to 65 mph, people are cruising at 75-80mph on the highways.  This is really tough with a Jeep.  You're not only underpowered, you're also fighting with aerodynamics.  On highways in town, I can get over 80 mph no problem. The noise buffers and buildings help a lot with the wind.

Offroad, you should have no problems with up to medium trails.  On a 0-5 scale, you could go a 3.5 without too much trouble.  I've been over the Rubicon with a TJ with the only modification was 31" AT tires.  The other TJ in the group had a 3" RE lift and 33" MT's.  One XJ had 32" TSL and stock gears.  All made it with very few problems.  Remember that you'll also air down which should drop the overall height 1"-2".
