1958 Jeep

Saw this sweet rig for sale on the way home from dinner tonight.....in Pennsylvania...:(

1/2 ton....rusty as expected, but in great shape IMO.

price listed was $2500....bet he would let it go for $1500.....what a great project.....runs.



2009 Audi S5....what....its 4wd...sort of....

That would be a Forward Control.  Can't really tell if it's a 150 or a 170.  I'd guess 150 though.  Basically a CJ-5 with all the weight up front.  :lol:

There is a bas ass rebuild of one of these in the current fourwheeler mag.  It is trying to get voted into their Top truck competition.  They are definately neat.

It would make a great desert vehicle since it can carry a lot more than a regular CJ.  I like them (along with any old Jeep!).

I got to ride in an FC150 on 33's in Idaho once.  Freaky feeling when you break over the top of a hill and start heading down.

I didn't know about the FC 170 but a quick internet check revealed that the FC 170 was a 3/4 ton truck with 6 cyl.  This one must be an FC 150 at 1/2 ton.

Where in PA did you see this? I'd like to take a look at it.

btw....I can't remember what 4x4 mag it was in as I get them all, but they just had a huge article on an owner gathering for the forward controls just last month.  Interesting stuff.

Pretty sure that the Cerlist Diesel was military FC's only.
