Ebay of the week
« on: March 31, 2008, 12:16:25 PM »

One of a kind 6 Cyl 4 W/D 4x4 1995 Jeep Sahara Limited, Custom design. 50,000. Original miles, guaranteed (car has not been registered since 2002) Well kept, no damage, runs great. This is not a Rubicon, the work on the car was done back in 1999. The car has won the prototype competition for Jeep models in 2002. This is a 1995 six cylinder Jeep Sahara which was rear ended in 1997. The rear was then cut off and removed, the chassis was stretched by about 22” , rear door added, rear operational window added, rear trunk space added, the car has a sliding roof top (skylight) , it has A/C , center consol, cloth covered original Jeep Sahara seats, Bosh fog lights, new battery, and many more extras as you see in the pictures. The frame is in good shape. Special chrome wheels with wide tires are almost new. I am not in the auto sales or auto repair business, so I do not know much about cars. I bought this car in 2001 because I fell in love with it and its ride. It was driven less than 10,000 miles by me back in 2001 and 2002. I have never used it on any rough terrain (except for testing it back when it was purchased). The car has always been in California, so it has no rust problems. This is a list of what I can tell is wrong with the car : • The car needs a new catalytic converter and probably a new exhaust. • The gas dial at the consol does not give the right gas reading (it shows ½ full when the tank is actually full) • The engine may also be in need of a tune up (it has been sitting idle for five years). • It needs a good cleaning job. • The sun roof can leak during rain. • The rear window opens all the way, but it does not stay up (needs paid of window casing holders). • Small crack at corner of passenger side window. Note : the work on the car was done by a body shop specialist that does limo stretching work. Not everything is perfect as a new factory car. This car will turn heads where ever you go.

Looks like he's a little late on putting this one on the market.  Might have been interesting pre unlimiteds?  Now its just money wasted.

Up to five would be fair, I think; I know it is a one of a kind job and all, but still; $15K for a 95?  I dont know...

Except for the suspension.  It's shot.  "I fell in love with it and its ride."  I guess that means the bumpstops are soft.

Not to mention the trackbar is out of line with the drag-link.

And no takers at $15000, maybe he'll lower the price?
