missing Injector clip
« on: May 11, 2008, 04:05:08 PM »
Today i was changing the injectors in my TJ to some 24# Cobras and found out that there was an injector clip missing, is this too bad? Will my Tj suffer from spontaneus combustion?

Follow up:

Took the TJ for spin and the difference is really noticeable, like it has been said in other posts it has a more throaty sound and it has a little more power, you can shift earlier. I checked for fuel leaks on the injector that has a missing retaining clip and there was none. I will still buy one this week, originally it was there for a reason.

Any advice will be deeply appreciated.

I don't think you can even reuse the clips if you go with Design III injectors.  Really, there's not reason to have them since the injector is compressed between the fuel rail and the intake.  It's not going anywhere.
