A little behind each ear makes the ladies go crazy! :fish:

The first time I changed the gear oil, it wasn't the gear oil that I had problems with. It was the black RTV I used. It took forever to get that stuff off of my hands, clothes,tools.

UPDATE:

Changed the front oil as well on Saturday.....have been running in 4WD for the most part over the past two days because of the snow and haven't had any leaks or sputtering out of the vent tubes.

My guess is that the yucky thick oil was thick enough to block the tubes when splattered up there causing it to blow out.....but I really don't know anything.... :'(

Kind of weird, my kids comanche just started doing the same thing.  His 8.8 is burping oil out the vent everytime it gets parked in the garage.  Lube isn't even hot coming out of the vent.

One thing I did notice...the left over brand new oil in the plastic quart bottle was working it's way out of the cap....I'm starting to believe it has something to do with the cold weather suddenly hitting.

May there is an expansion-retraction reaction from metals due to the cold weather. Could it be metal seal retracting?  :confused:
