For $259 you could have bought the Armor Coat metallic-ceramic finish ones.

I wouldn't weld them but that's just me.  I prefer to have a clamped exhaust.  I've several occasions where I've had to replace parts of it and not having to deal with welds is nice.  Not to mention, if you ever have to remove something on the trail.

If your cat is a generic one then there should be enough pipe fore and aft that you can clamp it.

yeah the ceramic coated ones are garbage from what ive read from people with experience

What is wrong with the coated one? I checked out Jet-Hot and it is the Pacesetter header that they sell. So please someone clue me in before I spend the funds on it. I have looked at the Banks & Borla headers. And don't say Clifford because they don't know when or if they will have more headers. I had the coin but they didn't have the header. :(

I don't think there is anything wrong with Jet-Hot.  I've seen it done to a Borla before.  Looked nice actually.

Personally I wouldn't get a Pacesetter header though.  Swink bought a Pacesetter and a Borla and when they came in he sent the Pacesetter back.  You'd be better off with Borla or Banks.

I was talking to another 4banger who had a Banks I think it was and he was not happy with it either. I t had cracked on him I think it was. I think I'll go cheap first and then if it fails I'll stepup and spend the bigger bucks.
I wish Doug Thorley made a header for our engines. I had his on a Zuk and it was nice.

If price wasn't an issuse I'd go with a borla. I have had great results with thier 4.0 versions and since I work with stainless steel for a living its easy to fix or If i ever get around to it remake it in to a turbo manifold.
