Not to mention the road.  Those Mattraks are only rated to 50MPH.

Imagine, put a 6.1 Hemi on the Wrangler and you got a 4-wheel rubber tank tread burnout every red light :pirate:

still gotta be fun. in montana i don't think there are any set trails, just drive where you want. and the snow gets real bad in the winter, so it might be useful, but i'm not spending $30 thou on them...

The only situation I can see them being useful is in snow or sand maybe.  I don't think a 6.1L Hemi would help.  Too much torque and you'll probably start stretching the Mattraks.  The track idea has been around for a while though.

IIRC, those attach to the existing tires so you don't have to remove them.

from what ive heard from people who have tracks like those on 4wheeler, they take alot of power... where did you get the pic of the modified mb?
1990 YJ 4cly, ax5, 2.5 inch BDS lift, 31 MTr\'s,  Powertrax-lockers all around, track-bars removed, boomerang shackles, warn m8000 winch, electric fan. [sold but not forgotten]
