I'm asking about the older, no-longer-available Dick Cepek MC-II's... A buddy of mine has a set of 35x12.50R15's that he said I could have... He got them for free and has no use for them, and since my current MT/R's don't have the greatest tread, I'm thinking about taking them. Who knows how old they are, but they have no cracking, nothing visibly wrong with them, and all seem to be round, not oblong or anything... Since I don't have the dough for new tires, I'm thinking I'll just take them. They all have great tread (3 of them are at least 70%+), I'm only skeptical about putting them on because I've read very little about them. But what I have seen hasn't been bad. Evidently they're not that loud and wear great and seem to do great in most terrain. I figure for free, I might as well bring 'em down to my buddy's shop and mount/balance them, and as long as they balance out well I'll run them. I feel stupid asking about taking a good set of used tire for free, but I don't want to go through the effort of slapping them on there and have them turn out to be complete crap.
If anyone ran them in previous years or is willing to help me dig up more information, I'd appreciate it. I can't giv you much for looking, except a virtual hug or something
